Eligibility for UG Research/Independent Study is determined by each major within the College of Engineering. Requirements per major are:
- AOE student must have a minimum 2.0 GPA overall and in-major
- BSE student must have a minimum 2.0 GPA overall and in-major
- CHE student must have a minimum 2.0 GPA overall and in-major
- CEE student must have a minimum 2.0 GPA overall and in-major
- CEM student must have a minimum 2.0 GPA overall and in-major
- CS For CS 2974: 2.5 overall/2.5 in-major GPA; For CS 4974: 2.5 overall/2.5 in-major GPA, successful completion of two CS 3000 or 4000 level courses; For CS 4944: 2.5 overall/3.0 in-major GPA, successful completion of two CS 3000 or 4000 level courses.
- ENGE student must have a minimum 2.0 GPA overall and in-major
- ECE student must have a minimum 2.0 GPA overall and in-major
- ESM student must have a minimum 2.5 GPA overall and in-major minimum GPA of 2.0
- ISE student must have a minimum 2.0 GPA overall and in-major
- MSE student must have a minimum 2.0 GPA overall and in-major
- ME student must have a minimum 2.5 GPA overall and in-major minimum GPA of 2.0
- MINE student must have a minimum 2.0 GPA overall and in-major
