Research Program Descriptions

The following Adobe Acrobat Files contain one-page summaries of the wide variety of College of Engineering Research topic areas.  These summaries are organized explicitly by research program area, and often collect information across departmental and even college lines. They have been prepared to help market the research experience and capabilities of the faculty to governmental program managers primarily at the federal level within the National Science Foundation, the various agencies and departments of the Department of Defense, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the National Institutes of Health, and others.  They are also useful for providing information to potential corporate and other private sector partners.  They are designed as brief calling-cards, to create interest, and establish direct contacts between faculty and their varied collaborators. They can be printed and/or copied by anyone interested in research activity in the College of Engineering at Virginia Tech.
