Nano VT, a group of graduate students within the Virginia Tech College of Engineering dedicated to enhancing micro and nanotechnology research within the scope of the university, has launched a Web site, http://www.nanovt.org.vt.edu, to expand its outreach efforts.
The student-run organization was established in the 2008. Group leaders seek to create databases that help inform students and new faculty of the process and characterization facilities on and off campus that support micro and nanotechnology. The group also seeks to provide a link between students and external internships and job opportunities, and ultimately promote the importance and reputation of research that is conducted at Virginia Tech to outside institutions that have focused efforts in micro and nanotechnology.
