Background/Bio:
Ashley Robinson is a Ph.D. Computer Science student at Virginia Tech. She has been working with the Instructional Technology team at Virginia Tech, where she provides faculty and student assistance on tablet PC integration in the higher education classroom.
Responsibilities:
Ashley Robinson is an IT Team Member. Her duties include:
- Sharing knowledge of the tablet PC and its affordances with faculty members
- Managing and scheduling student assistants who support DyKnow and pen-based technology in the classroom
- Providing one-on-one training to faculty on various computer software such as DyKnow and Microsoft Interactive Classroom
- Teaching and assisting with faculty development courses about tablet technologies
- Supporting professors using pen-based technologies during classes
- Supporting students using pen-based technologies during classes
