Graduate Studies are key to Virginia Tech’s college of engineering. Our graduate students receive the finest post graduate education from world renowned faculty. The graduate program offers M.S., M. Eng., and Ph. D. degrees in many engineering fields, preparing students for challenging futures in research, university teaching and government work. Graduate students participate in some of the most critical and innovative research projects in their fields using state-of-the-art equipment and facilities. Many of our programs, such as Industrial and System Engineering, are ranked by US News in the top 10 in the country.
The college of engineering is part of a consortium of schools offering graduate education on line. The Commonwealth Graduate Engineering Program (CGEP) is a distance learning graduate program offering qualified individuals the opportunity to earn a master's degree part time through on-site and interactive videoconferencing classes.
