Responsibilities
Danielle Beringer is a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the Hypatia living and learning community where she is responsible for teaching the Hypatia seminar. Additionally, she is teaching the engineering research seminar and two courses for the scieneering minor: Introduction to Scieneering and Fundamentals of Engineering for Scientists.
Education
Danielle earned a BS in engineering science and mechanics with a minor in mathematics from Virginia Tech in 2011. She is currently a master’s candidate in the Virginia Tech-Wake Forest university School for biomedical engineering and sciences.
Background
Danielle was a freshman participant in Hypatia and joined the CEED office in 2012. She has been involved in various organizations on campus, including the VT Red Cross Club, VT Snow, and Chi Delta Alpha, a non-Greek community service sorority. For her research, Danielle enjoys slipping willing volunteers on vegetable oil in the Kevin P. Granata Biomechanics Lab to analyze slip-induced gait alterations.
