Responsibilities
David Henry is a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the Galileo living and learning community. Here he is responsible for teaching the Galileo seminar and serving as a mentor for the community members. Additionally, he resides in West Ambler-Johnston where he is functioning as a Residential Fellow in an effort to help build a interdisciplinary and multi-generational community.
Education
David earned a B.S in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech in the spring of 2012. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Industrial Systems Engineering with a focus on management systems.
Background
David started work as a GTA for the CEED team in August of 2012 but was heavily involved in the Galileo program first as a freshman participant and then as a second-year mentor and head of the community service committee. He has been involved in various clubs on campus, including the VT Cycling Team, VT Amateur Radio Association, and the VT Triathlon Team. As an undergraduate student, David participated in two study abroad terms, worked in a co-op position with a manufacturing company, and has done undergraduate research in the robotics and acoustics fields.
