Anthony “Tony” Moraco is president of Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC)’s Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Group. In this role he leads SAIC’s mission capability integration and technical services for the intelligence community and U.S. Department of Defense.
From 2010 to 2012, he was the corporate executive vice president for operations and performance excellence with responsibility for enterprise-wide business support in information technology, facilities, security, program execution, procurement, shared services and operational initiatives.
Originally, Mr. Moraco joined SAIC in 2006 and has operated as both the business unit general manager and deputy of the space and geospatial intelligence business unit where he led the contract portfolio for the U.S. Air Force space programs, National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), and National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA).
Mr. Moraco was with the Boeing Company from 2000 to 2006, and served as the deputy general manager of mission systems in the space and intelligence systems organization and also the director of homeland security technology integration. He led strategic programs in space ground segments, geospatial technology solutions, and security solutions for homeland security customers.
Mr. Moraco began his professional career at Autometric, Inc. in 1984 and was responsible for geospatial production tools, cruise missile mission planning, analytical photogrammetry, and imagery exploitation solutions. From 1992-1993 Mr. Moraco was a program manager at TASC with an NGA contract for research and development of enhanced digital mapping, charting, and geodesy prototype products.
Mr. Moraco earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in civil and environmental engineering from Virginia Tech in 1982 and 1984. He currently serves on the VT Civil and Environmental Engineering Alumni Board and the national board of Operation Homefront.
