Michael Rencheck is president and chief executive officer of AREVA NP Inc. In this role, he is responsible for providing oversight for AREVA NP's North American activities, including the operational and next generation U.S. nuclear fleet. Before joining the company, Mr. Rencheck served as senior vice president and chief nuclear officer, responsible for oversight of AEP's Nuclear Generation Group (D.C. Cook Nuclear Plant) in Bridgman, Mich. He served in various leadership positions with the company since 1998, including senior vice president of engineering, projects and field services, responsible for engineering, regional maintenance and shop service organizations, projects and construction, and new generation development for the company.
Mr. Rencheck has a master's degree in management and computer information systems from Robert Morris University in Coraopolis, Pa., and a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio. He is a professional engineer (Arkansas, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia) and a certified senior reactor operator.
