Courtney Beamon received her bachelor's degree in 1995 and her master's degree in 1996, both in civil engineering, concentrating in transportation. A registered professional engineer, she works with Delta Airport Consultants, Inc. of Richmond, Va., a firm that specializes in airport consulting, planning and engineering. She joined the firm in 1996, and today is part-owner and serves as the firm's chief financial officer.
Ms. Beamon received her MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2007 and currently serves as the secretary/treasurer of her industry's national trade organization, the Airport Consultants Council. She has served on Virginia Tech's CEE Advisory Board and is a recipient of the Department's Outstanding Young Alumni award. She and her husband, Spencer Waddell, are raising two future Hokies - Spencer and Hunter.
