Jennifer Hanratty, Program Support Technician

Area of Responsibilities:
Jennifer assists students with questions about  various issues including course withdrawals, resignation/withdrawals, late adds/drops, change of major, transfer credit requests, academic probations/suspensions, course overloads, etc.   She serves as the administrative assistant to the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs with duties including travel arrangements, calendar/appointment management, scheduling/arrangement of meetings with various groups such as department heads, academic appeals committee, etc.   Jennifer also maintains the schedule for the Hancock 220 classroom.

Education:
Jen graduated from Virginia Tech in 2003 with a B.A. in International Studies.

Background:
Jen is originally from Springfield, VA. After graduating from Virginia Tech she moved to Richmond for three years and worked for a group of urgent care physicians. In 2006 she and her husband relocated to Blacksburg and she began working for the Registrar's office, joining the College of Engineering in June 2007. Jen has a daughter and two cats.
