The College offers graduate programs (leading to a master's degree) in Aerospace and Ocean Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering (Master of Engineering Administration), Mechanical Engineering, and Systems Engineering. More than 1,750 individuals have received a master's degree through this activity.
Relative to the televised courses, the College has been participating as a member of the Commonwealth Graduate Engineering Program (CGEP) since 1983. This includes the offering of 8-9 courses per semester via NET.WORK.VIRGINIA from Virginia Tech, and involves a day-to-day working relationship with UVa, GMU, ODU, VCU, Mary Washington College, Shenandoah University, the Advanced Engineering Center in Lynchburg, the Continuing Education Center in South Boston, the UVa Center in Abingdon, and a number of industrial sites.
Additionally, the Virginia Consortium of Engineering and Science Universities (VCES) has been established. This constitutes a cooperative combined research and graduate engineering program (at the Ph.D. as well as the Master's level), and involves a day-to-day working relationship with UVa, ODU, and the College of William and Mary. The focal point of activity is the Peninsula Graduate Engineering Center, Hampton, and supporting courses are being taught live on-site, via NET.WORK.VIRGINIA.
