Sarah Deisher , Program Support Technician

Area of Responsibilities:
Sarah is an Education Support Specialist in the College of Engineering. She handles issues related to undergraduate student transcripts, including the Virginia Community College System (VCCS) transcript evaluation and approval for courses to transfer. She is the teaching evaluation coordinator for the College of Engineering. Sasrah also works with the Degree Audit Report System (DARS) as they pertain to a student’s graduation requirements for students from the Virginia Community College.  Sarah processes enrollment related requests such as course overloads, course withdrawal, absence notifications, exam changes, grade changes, and re-enrollment requests for students in the college. She also provides assistance with the transfer orientation program during the summer.

Education:
Sarah graduated from Blacksburg High School in 1991 and attended college at Johnson Bible College in Tennessee.

Background:
Sarah has worked in higher education the past seven years, working in the office of the University Registrar with student records (transcripts, transfer credit, certifications, authentications, residency, Academic Common Market) and graduation analysis before coming to the College of Engineering.  Sarah was also in charge of the ordering, proofreading, and distribution of all undergraduate and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine diplomas and was the graduation analyst for the College of Engineering upon leaving the Registrar’s office.
