WHO WE ARE

The receptionist, Tracy Sebring is the first person you meet when you enter the suite of offices. She will be glad to help arrange a visit for you and your family to the College of Engineering at Virginia Tech. She will also assist students with questions as they enter the office, directing them to the right person to see regarding their concern.

You may directed to Christi Boone, our Director of Academic Support Programs. Christi helps prospective students with questions about transferring from another college or university to Virginia Tech, and visits community colleges to talk with prospective students about College of Engineering requirements.Christi can also talk with Virginia Tech Undergraduate Students about questions pertaining to transferring into the College of Engineering (from another major at Tech), academic standing concerns, and academic resources that exist in the college and university. Christi also coordinates spring commencement for all graduating undergraduates in the college of engineering.

You may also be directed to our Assistant Director of Outreach and Educational Services, Vicki Langford who handles issues related to your transcripts once you have been admitted to Virginia Tech, including high school AP credits, International Baccalaureate credits and college transcripts. Vicki also works with the Degree Audit Report System (DARS) as they pertain to a student’s graduation requirements.

Sarah Deisher , the Enrollment Services Assistant handles issues related to undergraduate student transcripts, including the Virginia Community College System (VCCS) transcript evaluation and approval for courses to transfer. Sarah also processes all overload and exam change requests for students in the college.

Finally, Bev Watford is the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs. Her role is to oversee all academic undergraduate engineering programs and students.
