WHAT WE DO

Advising Information
Do you know who your advisor is? Are you looking to talk with your Career Advisor? Check on the Hokie SPA for your assigned advisor or see the lists below:

Change of Major
Are you changing from Engineering to another college? Do you wish to change into Engineering? Would you just like to change departments within the College of Engineering? Please Complete the Internal Transfer Form and return it to 212 Hancock Hall

Course Withdrawal
Did you forget to drop a class before the drop deadline? Course Withdrawal will allow you to withdraw from your class if you have Course Withdrawal credits. All students have a total of 6 credits to use (minus any Freshman Rule credits that have already been used) throughout your college career. Fill out the resignation/course_withdrawal_request_form.doc and return to 212 Hancock Hall with your advisor's signature by the Friday of the last full week of classes. Late exceptions will not be allowed.

Exam Change Requests
Do you have more than 3 final exams in a 24-hour period? Do you have special circumstances that would prevent you from taking the test at the specific time? Click here for a copy of the Exam Change Request Form and the instructions on how to complete the form. Complete the form, have the instructor of the changed exam approve it and sign it, and return the form to 212 Hancock Hall. Your request will be processed and ready for the student to pick up here in the Dean's Office within a week.

Excused Absences
Did you or are you going to miss school because of an illness? Please go to Schiffert Health Center for an excused absence notice.
