Virginia Tech senior engineering design projects to be showcased April 29

Blacksburg, VA , March 30, 2008

Thirty Virginia Tech mechanical engineering senior design projects will be showcased on April 29 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Hancock Hall Atrium.

These projects will include working prototypes, posters, student teams and their advisors. Projects are quite varied and include award winning teams such as the Hybrid Electric Vehicle Team, the Baja Team, the Formula SAE Team, numerous Biomedical Engineering project teams, Renewal Energy teams, the SCRAM Jet Propulsion Team, the Montgomery Animal Shelter team and many other stellar projects. Some of these projects had sponsorship from NASA, the Navy, and industry.

Light refreshments will be served.

Industry participation and sponsorship of prizes is currently being sought for judging best designs and design teams.
