
"BLACKSBURG, Va., Nov. 1 — The Virginia Tech Student Engineers Abroad Council (SEAC) is hosting the first Engineering Education Abroad Fair on Nov. 9 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the Torgersen Museum (room 1100).
The fair will provide students with information about study abroad opportunities available through Virginia Tech and the College of Engineering.
Several individuals will be on hand to speak with attendees, including: — Engineering faculty who work with study abroad programs; — students who have participated in overseas studies, co-op programs or internships; — students groups, such as the SEAC and Engineers without Borders; — College of Engineering International Programs representatives; — an expert in transferring credits; — and representatives from the university Education Abroad Office, Career Services and the Cranwell International Center.
Participants will learn about summer, semester-long and year-long study abroad programs in Brazil, Egypt, France, Germany, Ireland, Vietnam and other nations.
In addition, door prizes will be offered, including international restaurant gift certificates.
