Computer Requirement For Summer/Fall 2014 and Spring 2015 Entering Students

Can I use a laptop instead?

Yes you can use a Windows or Apple laptop meeting our requirements, but also need a companion device for inking.

All Freshmen and Transfer Engineering Students
Entering Summer/Fall 2014 or Spring 2015

Minimum Requirement:

  1. A Tablet PC meeting the minimum specifications below or a combination of devices meeting the requirement.
  2. University Undergraduate Bundle 
  3. Engineering Software Bundle

Optional Accessories

DVD-R - Students may need a DVD-R drive to install software not included with their bundles.

External display - Those with smaller screens may want an external display.

Printer - Most students prefer to have their own printer. There are printers available on campus, but availability, payment and access vary.

USB Flash Memory - Memory sticks are a great way to move files between computers and for presentations in class.
