What Will I Do at C-Tech2?

C-Tech2 is designed to help you explore all the engineering options at Virginia Tech. You will be assigned to a small group of other girls during the day and participate in a wide variety of hands-on activities and some informational presentations.

In the evenings and during the weekend, your Residential Advisors (female Virginia Tech students) will plan fun social activities so you can get to know the other campers, the campus, and the Blacksburg community.

C-Tech2 really changed my view of engineering and Virginia Tech as a whole. Coming into the program, Virginia Tech wasn't at the top of my list, but now, VT is one of my top choices. Also, I thought I would be perfect for computer engineering, but I got to learn more about civil engineering and ended up loving it more. Had I not come to this program, I would've ended up taking classes that I didn't like and most likely would not have even considered/experienced civil engineering. - C-Tech² participant

I liked that we were exposed to a multitude of different types of engineering, and I enjoyed the different talks we got from different leaders. For example, Dr. Watford was very informative and made an impression on me that women can excel in engineering, even if it isn't thought of the "traditional" role. By coming to this camp, I realized that I want to study engineering here.  - C-Tech² participant
