Engineering Education - Academic Event
Location: Burruss Auditorium
Speaker: David Wilson, Director of Training and Academic Programs, National Instruments
What will you build when you become a professional scientist or engineer? Regardless of your focus, there are skills you will need to build your future systems, including mechanical layout, electronic circuit development, computer programming, and prototyping. The good news is that there is no better time to become an engineer as the tools available for systems development are unparalleled. From CAD programs to circuit simulation to 3D printers to graphical systems software, both students and engineers now have unprecedented access to resources that accelerate the design process and deliver working systems in amazingly short times. This talk will walk you through the steps in conceptualizing, designing, prototyping, manufacturing and launching your systems.
